Many of us know only too well the frustrations of trying to get an appointment with a GP and often with long delays. Not only that when we do get an appointment we have to travel and sit in a waiting room with generally not very happy people some of whom are probably carrying contagious diseases.
I have I suppose been fortunate in that I have not needed to seek medical advice for a few years but more recently with a severe ear infection I needed medical help.
We have an excellent group Private Medical Insurance team in my company, and I know undoubtably it has been a real benefit to members of our team. My colleague who heads up PMI suggested that I should simply use the online GP service. I have to say I had never heard of this.
My PA simply arranged an online appointment with a GP practically immediately and I saw a specialist at my local private hospital in Ashtead the following day.
The whole process was so simple and my medical issue was sorted out straightaway. This can be such a valuable benefit to so many people.
